There are varieties of plants for chameleons in the market and it is obvious that you should place more than one plant in your chameleon cage.

#1 Type of plant
Choosing what type of plants to place in the chameleon cage is depends on your preference. But I would like to recommend that you should include 4 types of plant below on your plant setup:
Hanging Plants: It is not necessary to have in a chameleon’s cage as your pets do not really need it. But a hanging plant will make the cage look great and mimic the natural environment of chameleon. It is hanged in the pet’s enclosure to serve as a hiding place. Chameleons will feel more covered with this plant.
Climbers: You can create a jungle scenery by adding climbers on the pet’s enclosure but do not overdo.
Foliage Plants: This is the main type of plant that should be place in a chameleon cage. It is better to give them more foliage for chameleons than the other types of plants. You should add more than two foliage plants in a cage. As mansion below, chameleon love to climb, so choose foliage plants with sturdy stem so your pets can be able to climb on.

Plants require sunlight to grow. When it comes to plants for chameleon cage, most of them require both direct and indirect lights. Heat lamps it the great light source but it may not be sufficient to support the plant’s need for lighting. Due to that, sunlight will still be needed.
