What are the best large iguana cages?
An adult iguana can reach 6 to 8 feet in length when they full grown, they also enjoy climbing, but just a few lizard’s cage out there is high and large enough for them. This is why I would like to recommend here three iguana cages that suitable for your pets.
#1 PawHut Large Wooden Outdoor Cage
This cage from pawhut can be one of the biggest available cage for iguana. It is made of natural fir wood and coated with non-toxic sealant, what make it last for long term use. It measures 71″ inches long x 38.5″ inches wide x 71″ inches high – the ideal size to accommodate an adult iguana.
However, it is not suitable to use indoor as it doesn’t include a bottom. It is not easy to be clean or you will need to build a bottom tray for it. And if you use it outdoor, the asphalt roof can be useful to protect your pet from water but it also block all the UVB rays from the sun.
#2 Carolina Custom Cages Terrarium
Carolina custom cage has overall dimensions are 72″ inches long x 24″ inches deep x 36″ inches high for the giant deep extra-tall version. I know that this aquarium is not an ideal cage for iguana as it is only 3 feet high, quite short to support the climbing behaviours of iguana. However, if you looking for the cage to house a baby iguana or a temporary cage to keep him when you need to clean the main cage, then it is the good option.
#3 Zoo Med Reptibreeze IguanArium
The Zoo Med Reptibreeze IguanArium measures 36″ x 18″ x 48″ inches. It is only suitable for an iguana that is 4 feet long. It features a removable tray for easy cleaning. Unlike pawhut cage, this cage of Zoo Med is made of PVC coated wire to help prevent injuries from rubbing. The most attractive feature of this cage is that it is equipped four wheels so you can easily move it to use indoor or outdoor for natural basking under the sun.
