SPRUCE HAVEN PETTING AND WILDLIFE ZOO
WHO WE ARE: Spruce Haven is a petting zoo and wildlife park located on 30 picturesque acres just 15 minutes from downtown Sault Ste Marie, Ontario, Canada. Beginning in 1988, we have become a popular attraction and become the area’s only animal park, with a wide assortment of animals and birds from many countries. We offer a fun-filled family adventure with a hands-on petting zoo, and the opportunity to view wildlife in a natural scenic setting. Our mission is to be a safe haven for injured and abandoned animals and birds with a program of releasing or placing species with other animal care agencies or zoos. Providing an educational experience is one of our objectives particularly related to animal behaviour, wildlife conservation, protection of habitat, and living in harmony with the animal kingdom. Visual aids and staff presentations for school groups and all visitors are incorporated in our program.

WHERE WE ARE: Sault Ste. Marie Ontario is on the Michigan border and is accessed via the St Mary’s River bridge which links us with our sister city Sault Ste Marie, Michigan. (on the extreme north end of the I-75 highway). We are located in scenic countryside, just off hwy 550 west, on the marked route to the airport. Travel info is available just after a right turn after crossing the bridge.
