The community of Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes came together over the weekend to celebrate the end of summer with their festival “Salut Voisin/Howdy Neighbour.”

The annual community celebration was created in 2007 and lasts for three days. Activities for children as well as music performances are offered throughout the weekend at Notre-Dame Park.

On Friday, the festival kicked off with an outdoor movie night and performances by Correction Line and the Balogna Shoulder Social Club. On Saturday, the activities continued with bingo, inflatable structures for the kids, bubble soccer, a petting zoo, and pony rides.

This year, Jacques Chénier performed for the children at the community shelter in Notre-Dame Park on Saturday afternoon, followed by a dinner and a showcase of local talent. The community enjoyed fireworks and a performance by Hicktown to conclude the evening.
